Battery Tray

NOTE: The washer reservoir is integrated with the battery tray and cannot be serviced separately.

1.

Disconnect the 3 wire harness retainers from the battery tray.

Drain the washer reservoir.

Remove the battery. Refer to Battery .

4.

Remove the 12 upper air deflector pushpins and the upper air deflector.

Drain the engine cooling system. Refer to Engine Cooling .

6.

Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator.

- 1.
  
  Remove the 3 bolts.
  - To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
- 2.
  
  Position the battery tray above the Right Hand (RH) fender inner edge.
- 3.
  
  Raise the front of the battery tray above the radiator upper hose connection.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
- 1.
  
  Disconnect the electrical connector and the 2 washer hoses from the windshield washer pump. Disconnect the washer fluid level switch electrical connector.
- 2.
  
  If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector and the washer hose from the headlamp washer pump.
- 3.
  
  Remove the battery tray.

9.

NOTE: Do not operate the washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir. Failure to follow this instruction may result in premature pump failure.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
