Auxiliary Coolant Flow Pump: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- 1.WARNING: Always allow the engine to cool before opening the cooling system. Do not unscrew the coolant pressure relief cap when the engine is operating or the cooling system is hot. The cooling system is under pressure; steam and hot liquid can come out forcefully when the cap is loosened slightly. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
Release the cooling system pressure by slowly turning the degas bottle cap between 2 and 3 turns and remove the degas bottle cap.

Drain the coolant. Refer to Engine Cooling .
- 3.NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Position aside turbocharger inlet tube. Loosen the clamp at the turbocharger inlet tube to air cleaner outlet pipe.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- 5.NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Loosen the ACL outlet pipe clamp and remove the Air Cleaner(ACL) outlet pipe.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- 6.NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Loosen the turbocharger-to-Charge Air Cooler(CAC) pipe clamp and position aside the turbocharger-to-CAC pipe.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- 7.
Remove the nuts and the CAC tube bracket.- Disconnect the coolant hose from the valve cover stud.
- Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
- 8.
Remove the auxiliary coolant flow pump.- Clamp and disconnect the coolant hoses.
- Disconnect the auxiliary coolant flow pump electrical connector.
- Remove the bracket nut and bolt.
- Remove the auxiliary coolant flow pump.
- Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
