Diagnostic Overview 

Diagnostics in this article assume a certain skill level and knowledge of Ford-specific diagnostic practices. Refer to Diagnostic Methods in Service Information for information about these practices.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The ABS module and APIM communicate through the HS-CAN.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U0121:00 Lost Communication with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module: No Sub Type Information Set by the APIM when network messages are missing from the ABS module for more than 1 second with the ignition in RUN.
