BCM DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| B1240:11 | Start Button Mode Indicator: Circuit Short to Ground | Sets when the BCM detects a short to ground from the ignition mode LED indicator circuit. |
| B1240:15 | Start Button Mode Indicator: Circuit Short to Battery or Open | Sets when the BCM detects an open from the ignition mode LED indicator circuit. |
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Push button ignition switch
- BCM
Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Make sure BCM fuse 18 (10A) is OK
