Pinpoint Test AE : The Tow Haul Indicator Is Never Or Always On: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Tow Haul Indicator. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

NOTE: If DTC U0100:00 sets in the IPC, other observable symptoms can be an inoperative speedometer, temperature gauge or odometer.

If the transmission tow haul mode message is missing or invalid for less than 5 seconds, the tow haul indicator remains in the last indication state (on or off), based upon the last message received.

If the transmission tow haul mode message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0100:00 in continuous memory and defaults the tow haul indicator off.
