Removal And Installation

  1. 1.

    Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to Interior Trim and Ornamentation .
    • Position the water shield aside.

  1. 2.

    Remove and discard the 3 bolts (4 bolts if equipped with a power liftgate) and the liftgate latch.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  1. 3.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
