Pinpoint Test T : The RKE Transmitter Has Poor Range Performance: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
For vehicles not equipped with the factory remote start feature, the RKE transmitter has a normal operating range of approximately 20 m (66 ft). The Radio Transceiver Module (RTM) has an internal antenna to receive the RKE transmitter signal.
For vehicles equipped with the factory remote start feature, the RKE feature has an extended operating range of approximately 100 m (328 ft) in an open air, no obstruction environment. The Radio Transceiver Module (RTM) uses an externally mounted amplified antenna to receive the RKE transmitter signal.
