Does the Radio Transceiver Module (RTM) pass the network test?

    Yes  GO to  R5.
No  DIAGNOSE the Radio Transceiver Module (RTM) not responding to the scan tool. REFER to Module Communications Network .
  5. R5 CHECK FOR TPMS -RELATED DTCs

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.

Are any TPMS related DTCs present?

Yes  DIAGNOSE all TPMS -related DTCs first. REFER to Wheels and Tires .
    No  GO to  R6.
  6. R6 CHECK FOR DTC B10AB:00 OR B1218:00

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the BCM self-test.

Is DTC B10AB:00 or B1218:00 present?

Yes  For DTC B10AB:00 GO to  R7.For DTC B1218:00 GO to  R8.
    No  GO to  R8.
  7. R7 RESYNCHRONIZE THE INOPERATIVE IKT

    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Press any button on the IKT 4 times consecutively within 30 seconds.

    Does the IKT operate correctly?

Yes  The system is OK. The concern was cause by an IKT out of synchronization.
    No  GO to  R8.
  8. R8 CHECK THE RKE TRANSMITTER PIDs

    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, view the BCM PIDs.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, monitor the following BCM PIDs :
      • Last Received (RKE) Transmitter Button Press (LST_RKE_xMTR)
      • Last Received (TIC) Code Value (TIC_LAST_BC)
    • Press a button on the IKT while observing the BCM PIDs.

Does the TIC and RKE command display on the scan tool when a button is pressed?

    Yes  GO to  R9.
    No  GO to  R10.
  9. R9 CHECK IF THE IKTs ARE PROGRAMMED USING THE TRANSMITTER ID CODE (TIC) PIDs

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, monitor the following BCM PIDs :
      • Last Received (TIC) Code Value (TIC_LAST_BC)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 1 (TIC_01_BCM)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 2 (TIC_02_BCM)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 3 (TIC_03_BCM)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 4 (TIC_04_BCM)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 7 (TIC_07_BCM)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 8 (TIC_08_BCM)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 9 (TIC_09_BCM)
      • Programmed Transmitter ID Code (TIC) Value 10 (TIC_10_BCM)
    • Press a button on each IKT and compare the BCM TIC_LAST_BC PID with the other PIDs.

Does the last TIC displayed match any of the TICs stored in memory?

    Yes  GO to  R13.
No  REPLACE the suspect IKT. REFER to Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment in Anti-Theft Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) .
  10. R10 CHECK THE IKT BATTERY

    • Remove the IKT battery. Refer to the Owner Guide for battery removal instructions.
    • Do not clean off any grease from the battery terminals on the back surface of the circuit board.
    • Verify the correct battery is used (CR2032).
    • Measure the IKT battery voltage.

Is the voltage greater than 2.5 volts?
