Engine Mount - RH: Removal

NOTE:
Discard all engine support insulator fasteners and install new fasteners.
- 1.NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .
- 3.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery, Mounting and Cables .
- 4.NOTE: Index-mark the hood hinge location to aid in hood installation.NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.
Remove the bolts (2 shown) and the hood.
- 6.
If equipped, turn the quarter turn retainers, detach the push-pins and remove the lower air deflector.
- 8.
Remove the Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe. Refer to: Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .

Disconnect thePCV pressure sensor electric connector.
- 2.
Disconnect the PCV tube quick connect couplings and remove the PCV tube. Refer to: Fuel System General Information .

Disconnect the quick connect couplings and disconnect the turbocharger bypass tube. Refer to: Fuel System General Information .

Release the turbocharger inlet tube from the turbocharger inlet tube bracket grommet.
- 2.
Loosen the turbocharger inlet tube clamp and remove the turbocharger inlet tube.

Release the turbocharger outlet tube from the retaining clamp and release the turbocharger outlet tube from the turbocharger outlet tube bracket grommet. Loosen the turbocharger outlet tube clamp and remove the turbocharger outlet tube.

Detach the turbocharger inlet pipe from the bracket. Loosen the turbocharger inlet pipe clamp and remove the turbocharger inlet pipe.

Disconnect the turbocharger outlet pipe hose and detach the turbocharger outlet pipe from the bracket. Loosen the turbocharger outlet pipe clamps and remove the turbocharger outlet pipe.
- 18.NOTE: If the factory lifting eye is not installed, install a 303-1529 Engine Lift Eye.
Attach a D-Ring to the RH front lift eye and install the Engine Support Bar.

If equipped, remove the front driveshaft. Refer to: Driveshaft .
- 20.
Remove the LH and RHHO2S. Refer to: Electronic Engine Controls .
- 23.
Remove the exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe bolts and separate.- Discard the bolts.
- 24.NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.
Loosen the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.

Remove the starter. Refer to: Starting System .
- 26.
Remove the A/C compressor belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive .
- 28.NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the engine support insulator through bolts or damage to the engine support insulator-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.
Loosen the LH engine support insulator through bolt.
- 29.NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the engine support insulator through bolts or damage to the engine support insulator-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.
Remove and discard theRH engine support insulator through bolt.
- 30.NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the engine support insulator nuts and studs or damage to the engine support insulator can occur.NOTE: The 2 engine support insulator studs may come off with the nuts.
Remove and discard the RH engine support insulator nuts. Remove the 2 engine support insulator studs.
