WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- E1 CHECK FOR DCMR DTCS
- Enter the following diagnostic mode: DCMR Self-Test.
Are any DTCs present?
Yes For DTC P0745:12, GO to E2For DTC P0745:13, GO to E3For DTC P0745:19, GO to E5
For all other DTCs, REFER to the DTC chart. No GO to E2 - E2 CHECK THE PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE FOR SHORT TO BATTERY
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect Pressure Control Valve C3832 .
- Disconnect DCMR C3396 .
Is any voltage detected?
Yes REPAIR the circuit. No GO to E8 - E3 CHECK THE PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect Pressure Control Valve C3832 .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Pressure control valve, component side, pin 1 Pressure control valve, component side, pin 2
Is the resistance greater than 10 ohms?
Yes INSTALL a new eLSD HCU. REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) . No GO to E4 - E4 CHECK THE PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect DCMR C3396 .
Are the resistances less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to E8 No REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the DTCs. - E5 CHECK THE PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.

Yes GO to E7 No REPAIR the signal circuit for a short to ground. - E7 CHECK THE PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE FOR OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect Pressure Control Valve C3832 .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Pressure control valve, component side, pin 1. Pressure control valve, component side, pin 2.
Is the resistance greater than 10 ohms?
Yes INSTALL a new HCU. REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) . No GO to E8 - E8 CHECK FOR CORRECT DCMR (DIFFERENTIAL CONTROL MODULE REAR) OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect all DCMR connectors.
- Disconnect and inspect all eLSD HCU connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connectors or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect all the DCMR connectors and make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Reconnect all the eLSD HCU connectors and make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new DCMR. REFER to: Differential Control Module Rear (DCMR) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
