Rear Bumper Cover - RS: Removal

Remove the rear wheel and tire assemblies. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
If equipped, on both sides. Remove the screws, release the clip and remove the rear mud flap.
Torque

: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)

All other vehicles, on both sides. Remove the screws.

On both sides. Position the rear fender liner aside.

On both sides. Remove the screw.
Torque

: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)

If equipped. Disconnect the Keyless Entry Rear Antenna electrical connector.

Remove the screws, disconnect the rear bumper cover harness electrical connector.

Remove the rear lamp assembly. Refer to: Reversing Lamp - RS .
With the help of an assistant. Remove the rear bumper cover.
1. Remove the screws.
  Torque
  
  : 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
2. Release the sides of the rear bumper cover from the brackets. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
3. Release the center of the rear bumper cover from the rear brackets and remove the rear bumper cover.
