Radio Frequency (RF) Receiver: Removal

NOTE: Do not bend or crease the headliner during removal or installation. Failure to follow instruction results in damage to the headliner.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove both A-pillar trim panels. Refer to: A-Pillar Trim Panel .
Release the headliner wiring harness retainers from the RH A-pillar and disconnect and plug the rear window washer hose.

Remove the overhead console. Refer to: Overhead Console .
For vehicles equipped with auto dimming rear view mirror, remove the rain sensor upper and lower covers.

For vehicles equipped with auto dimming rear view mirror, disconnect the rear view mirror and rain sensor electrical connectors.

Position both upper B-pillar trim panels aside.
1. Position the front and rear door weatherstrip from around the upper B-pillar trim panel aside
2. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel screw cover.
3. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel screw.
4. Disconnect the upper clips of the lower B-pillar trim panel from the upper B-pillar trim panel.
5. Release the 2 upper B-pillar trim panel clips and position the upper B-pillar aside.

Remove both D-pillar trim panels. Refer to: D-Pillar Trim Panel - 5-Door .
Remove both sunvisors.
1. Remove both sunvisor screws.
2. Position the upper corner of the headliner down to access the sunvisor electrical connector and disconnect the electrical connector.

NOTE: Assist handle shown, garment hooks similar.

Remove the passenger front assist handle and both rear garment hooks.

Disconnect and plug the rear window washer hose from the RH D-pillar.

Position aside all weatherstrip from around the headliner.

Position front and rear seats.
1. Position the rear seat backrest in the full flat position.
2. Position the front seats in the full forward and full reclined position.
3. Remove both front seat headrests.

Using an assistant, remove both sunvisor clips and both headliner rear pin-type retainers and position the headliner down.

NOTE: Gently pry the Remote Functions Receiver (RFR) away from the headliner or damage to the headliner may occur.

Remove the Remote Functions Receiver (RFR).
