Luggage Compartment Lid Release Switch: Removal

  1. Remove the pin-type retainers and the luggage compartment lid trim panel.

  2. NOTE: The luggage compartment lid is shown transparent for clarity. The luggage compartment lid release switch assembly must be released from inside the luggage compartment lid.

    Remove the luggage compartment lid release switch assembly.

    1. Release the retaining clips and position the luggage compartment lid release switch assembly away from the luggage compartment lid.
    2. Disconnect the luggage compartment lid release electrical connector.
    3. If equipped. Disconnect the rear parking aid camera electrical connector.
    4. Remove the luggage compartment lid release switch assembly.

  3. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    If equipped. Remove the rear parking aid camera.
