Hood Latch Release Cable: Removal

Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
Release the hood latch release cable.
- Remove the hood latch release cable routing clips and position aside the hood latch release cable.
- Release the hood latch release cable.

Release the hood latch release cable from the routing bracket.

Remove the hood latch release handle and the LH cowl trim panel.
- Position aside the front door weatherstrip and the driver door scuff plate
- Remove the hood latch release handle access cover.
- Release the clips releasing the hood latch release handle and remove the hood latch release handle.
- NOTE: Insert a 10mm 1/4 inch drive socket to release the clips.
  
  Release the clips and remove the LH cowl trim panel.

RHD
Remove the LH instrument panel finish panel.
- Position aside the front door weatherstrip.
- Remove the LH instrument panel finish panel.

Remove the retainers and the RH insulation panel.

Open the glove compartment, remove the retainers and the glove compartment upper stowage bin.

All vehicles
Remove the hood latch release.
- Position aside the carpet.
- Release the routing cable clips, remove the retainers and the hood latch release.

Route the hood latch release cable through the to the engine compartment and remove the rear hood latch release cable.
