DISCONNECT the liftgate/luggage compartment lid latch electrical connector and CHECK the operation of the latch using a screwdriver. If the latch fully latches (2 clicks), REFER to the OEM ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM INTRODUCTION (EXCEPT ELECTRIC) to identify the possible causes of the circuit short.
