Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The DDM and PDM communicate with the BCM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN).

If the DDM or PDM do not receive messages from the BCM, features such as power door locks, puddle lamps, exterior mirror turn signal, and door switch illumination can become inoperative.

DDM/ PDM DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U0140:00 Lost Communication With Body Control Module: No Sub-Type Information Sets when the DDM or PDM detects data messages are missing from the BCM.
