Pinpoint Test AF : U0233:00

  1. AF1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN

    • Ignition ON.

    • Verify there is an observable symptom present.

    Is an observable symptom present? 

    Yes  GO to  AF2
    No  The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

  2. AF2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out a network test.

    Does the SODR module pass the network test? 

    Yes  GO to  AF3
    No  REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

  3. AF3 RETRIEVE THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE SODR (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE RH) MODULE SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the SODR module self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present? 

    Yes  REFER to: Blind Spot Information System .
    No  GO to  AF4

  4. AF4 RETRIEVE THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE PDM (PASSENGER DOOR MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PDM self-test.

    Is DTC U3003:62 present? 

    Yes  GO to Pinpoint Test AG 
    No  GO to  AF5

  5. AF5 RECHECK THE PDM (PASSENGER DOOR MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during PMI or the PMI may not have been carried out.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Wait 10 seconds.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PDM self-test.

    Is DTC U0232:00 still present? 

    Yes  GO to  AF6
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

  6. AF6 CHECK FOR DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) U0233 SET IN OTHER MODULES

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Wait 30 seconds.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, retrieve the continuous memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from all modules.

    Is DTC U0233 set in other modules? 

    Yes  INSTALL a new SODR module. REFER to: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module .
    No  INSTALL a new PDM. REFER to: Door Module .
