Rear Seat Backrest: Removal

NOTE: RH backrest must be removed before the LH backrest can be removed.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the RH seat backrest.

    1. Lower the backrest.
    2. Rotate the backrest hinge locking clip rearward and release the backrest.
    3. Remove the backrest.

  2. Position the rear center safety belt aside.

    1. Raise the LH rear seat cushion forward.
    2. Remove the rear center safety belt fastener and position the safety belt aside.

      Torque

      : 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

  3. Remove the LH seat backrest.

    1. Lower the backrest.
    2. Rotate the backrest hinge locking clip rearward and release the backrest.
    3. Remove the backrest.
