Steering Column Shrouds: Removal

Fully extend and lower the steering column.

If equipped. Remove the retainer.

NOTE: Turn the steering wheel to access the slots.

Disconnect the upper steering column shroud from the lower shroud.
- Rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left and release the LH tab. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
- Rotate the steering wheel 180 degrees to the right and release the RH tab. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

Remove the upper steering column shroud.
1. Release the front tab.
2. Release the middle tab.
3. Remove the upper steering column shroud.

Remove the retainers and the lower steering column shroud.
Torque

: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)
