Active Grille Shutter Actuator: Removal

  1. Remove the active grille shutter. Refer to: Active Grille Shutter - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS)  . Refer to: Active Grille Shutter - 2.0L Duratec-HE (125kW/170PS) - MI4  . Refer to: Active Grille Shutter - 2.0L EcoBoost (184kW/250PS) - MI4  .
  2. Release the clips and remove the linkage.

  3. Disconnect the active grille shutter actuator electrical connector.

  4. Release the vanes from the active grille shutter.

  5. Remove the vanes.

  6. Remove the actuator fixing cover.

  7. Remove the active grille shutter actuator.
