- Liftgate assembly 5840110
- Liftgate support-to-liftgate pivot bolt (2 required) 5845590
Torque
: 16 lb.ft (22 Nm)
- Liftgate strut (2 required) 58406A10
- Liftgate hinge 5842900 RH /5842901 LH
- Hinge-to-liftgate bolt (4 required) W715314
Torque
: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Hinge-to-body nut (2 required) W711213
Torque
: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Liftgate support-to-body bracket bolt (4 required) W715824
Torque
: 16 lb.ft (22 Nm)
- Liftgate support-to-body bracket 58442A38-A RH /58442A38-B LH
- Remove the D-pillar trim panels. Refer to: D-PILLAR TRIM PANEL - 5-DOOR
- Position the upper portion of the liftgate opening weatherstrip aside.
- Position the headliner aside.
- Disconnect and position the rear washer hose aside.
- Disconnect and position the liftgate wiring harness aside.
- Remove the wiring and harness boots at the body and route the lines out of the body.
- Manually support the liftgate.

NOTE: Support the liftgate before removing the struts. Failure to follow this direction may result in damage to the components.
Disconnect both sides of the liftgate struts and position aside.
- With the help of an assistant, remove both sides of the liftgate-to-hinge bolts and remove the liftgate.

: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
