Rear Door Alignment

Adjustment 

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

All alignments 

  1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this article, refer to Safety Warnings in GENERAL INFORMATION (EXCEPT ELECTRIC) . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
  2. Remove the door latch striker.

    Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment 

  3. Refer to: B-Pillar Trim Panel .
  4. Loosen but do not remove the door hinge-to-body bolts enough to allow door alignment.

    Torque

    : 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

  5. Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

    Front door in and out, up and down alignment 

  6. Loosen but do not remove the door hinge-to-door bolts enough to allow door alignment.

    Torque

    : 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

  7. Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

    Torque

    : 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

    All alignments 

  8. Install the door latch striker.

    Torque

    : 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
