Remove the pin-type retainers and the luggage compartment lid trim panel.

Loosen the nuts enough to permit movement of the luggage compartment lid. Loosen: 2 turn(s)

WARNING: Take extra care when handling the compressed spring.

On both sides. Position aside the spring.
