Liftgate Alignment - RS

Inspection
- Check liftgate-to-body dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .
Adjustment
- Remove the loadspace floor trim panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the retaining disc and the subwoofer speaker.
- Disconnect DSP and DACMC electrical connectors. Detach the wire harness retainers and position aside the wiring harness.
- Fold down the rear seatbacks.
- Remove the rear cargo foam sections.
- Remove the luggage compartment opening trim panel.
- Position the weatherstrip aside.
- Remove the push-pins and release the clips.
- Remove the liftgate striker bolts and striker.
- Loosen the liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts until the liftgate is able to move slightly.
- Adjust the liftgate to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .
- Tighten the liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts.
Torque
: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Install and align the liftgate striker and bolts.
- Install the luggage compartment opening trim panel.
- Install the clips and the push-pins.
- Install the weatherstrip.
- Install the rear cargo foam sections.
- Return the rear seatbacks to original position.
- Position the wiring harness, attach the wire harness retainers and connect the DACMC and DSP electrical connectors.
- Install subwoofer speaker, install the retaining disc and connect the electrical connector.
- Install the loadspace floor trim panel.
- Inspect the body-to-liftgate door dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .
