Front Door Alignment

Adjustment 

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

All alignments 

  1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this article, refer to Safety Warnings in GENERAL INFORMATION (EXCEPT ELECTRIC) . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
  2. Remove the door latch striker.

    Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment 

  3. Passenger side.

  6. Loosen but do not remove the door hinge-to-body bolts enough to allow door alignment.

    Torque

    : 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

  7. Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

    Front door in and out, up and down alignment 

  8. Loosen but do not remove the door hinge-to-door bolts enough to allow door alignment.

    Torque

    : 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

  9. Adjust the door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

    Torque

    : 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

    All alignments 

  10. Install the door latch striker.

    Torque

    : 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
