Pinpoint Test D : CPP (Clutch Pedal Position) Switch "B" Circuit Diagnosis: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

REFER to: Cruise Control - System Operation and Component Description  .

NOTE: Jump (push) starting the engine will cause an engine RPM correlation error when the engine rotates without a starter motor crank command. Incorrectly installed or aftermarket alarm systems may induce this fault, also.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
P170A Clutch Pedal Switch Out Of Self Test Range A DTC that sets when the PCM receives an out-of-range signal from the CPP switch. This condition disables cruise control.
P0833 Clutch Pedal Switch "B" Circuit A DTC that sets when the PCM receives the vehicle speed input, indicating movement and does not detect the switching input signal from the CPP switch. This condition disables cruise control
