Exterior Lighting - Overview: DRL

The DRL system consists of:

Low beams (halogen headlamps not equipped with headlamp LED signature lamps)
Headlamp LED signature lamps integrated in the High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps and halogen headlamps equipped with signature lighting Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
Parking lamps (if equipped with parking lamp DRL)
BCM

For halogen headlamps not equipped with headlamp LED signature lamps, the DRL system operates the low beam headlamps at a reduced intensity and may illuminate the parking lamps.

For halogen headlamps equipped with headlamp LED signature lamps, the DRL system illuminates the headlamp LED signature lamps at its highest intensity and may illuminate the parking lamps.

For High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, the DRL system illuminates the headlamp LED signature lamps at its highest intensity and may illuminate the parking lamps.
