Global Positioning System Module (Gpsm): Removal

NOTE: If Installing A New Module, It Is Necessary To Upload The Module Configuration Information To The Scan Tool Prior To Removing The Module. This Information Must Be Downloaded Into The New Module After Installation.
NOTE: Removal Steps In This Procedure May Contain Installation Details.
  1. Upload The Gpsm Configuration Information To The Scan Tool By Following The Scan Tool On Screen Instructions.
  2. WARNING: Before Beginning Any Service Procedure In This Article, Refer To Safety Warnings In General Information (Except Electric) . Failure To Follow This Instruction May Result In Serious Personal Injury.

    Refer To: Health And Safety Precautions .

  3. Remove The Retainers And The Rh Insulation Panel.

  4. Position The Front Door Weatherstrip Aside, Release The Clips And Remove The Rh Instrument Panel Finish Panel.

  5. Remove The Glove Compartment.

    • Remove The Glove Compartment Screws.

    • If Equipped. Disconnect The Electrical Connectors.

  6. Disconnect The Electrical Connector, Release The Clips And Remove The Gpsm.
