Pinpoint Test S : The Charging System Warning Indicator Is Never Or Always On: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Charging System Warning Indicator. REFER to: INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) - SYSTEM OPERATION AND COMPONENT DESCRIPTION

If the power system status message is missing for less than 2 seconds, the IPC defaults the charging system warning indicator to its last state (on or off) based upon the last known good message received.

If the power system status message is missing for 2 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0140:00 in continuous memory and defaults the charging system warning indicator on.
