Pinpoint Test Ag : The Compass Display Is Inoperative (Without Touchscreen Audio): Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Compass Display. REFER to: Warning Chimes - System Operation and Component Description .

If the GPS data messages are missing or invalid for 5 seconds or less, the compass displays the last vehicle direction based upon the last known good compass display message received.

If the GPS data messages are invalid or missing for more than 5 seconds, the IPC sets DTC U0140:00 and defaults the display to all dashes (---).

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

Verify the compass display is enabled through the message center. Refer to the Owner's Literature.
