Damper Mode And Drive Mode RTT Displays (RS Only)

The damper mode is also known as selectable suspension dampening. The message center provides the damper mode RTT indicator to inform the driver the suspension mode state (normal [off] or sport [on]) based on the driver selection. The damper mode is selected on or off using the damper mode status on the LH steering column multifunction switch. If the damper mode does not change within 2 seconds after receiving the request, the message center turns off the damper mode RTT and displays the drive mode selection not available warning. The IPC receives the damper mode status network message from the BCM. The BCM receives the damper mode status network message from the GFM2.

Once the driver has selected the damper mode on (sport mode), the message center provides drive mode RTT indicators to inform the driver of the specific mode selected. The IPC receives the drive mode activation message from the BCM. The BCM receives the damper mode status message from the GFM2.
