Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The start/stop switch illumination is ground side controlled by the BCM.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC	Description	Fault Trigger Conditions
B1249:12	Start Button Illumination General Electrical Failures: Circuit Short To Battery	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the BCM detects a short to voltage on the start/stop switch illumination circuit.
B1249:14	Start Button Illumination General Electrical Failures: Circuit Short To Ground Or Open	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the BCM detects a short to ground or open from the start/stop switch illumination circuit.
U1000:00	Solid State Driver Protection Activated - Driver Disabled: No Sub Type Information	Sets in continuous memory when the BCM has temporarily disabled an output driver because an excessive current draw exists. The BCM cannot enable the output until the cause of the excessive current draw is corrected, the BCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been cleared and a successful BCM self-test is run.
U3000:49	Control Module: Internal Electronic Failure	Sets in continuous memory when the BCM has permanently disabled an output driver because an excessive current draw has occurred more times than the BCM output driver can withstand. ADDRESS all other BCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). After the cause of the excessive current draw is corrected, Refer to BCM GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING
