Thermostatic Expansion Valve Manifold and Tube Assembly - 2.0L EcoBoost (184kW/250PS) - MI4: Removal

NOTE: During the removal of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove protective materials prior to installation.

Recover the refrigerant. Refer to the appropriate Recovery procedure in this article
Remove the cowl panel grille. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .
Remove the retainers, position the tube aside and remove the cowl panel bezel.

Release the tabs and position the degas bottle aside.

Remove the engine appearance cover.

Remove the bolt.
Torque

: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Remove the nut.
Torque

: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

Remove the nut and thermostatic expansion valve manifold and tube assembly.
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
