Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 2.0L Duratec-HE (125kW/170PS) - MI4: Removal

NOTE: During the removal of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove protective materials prior to installation.

Recover the refrigerant. Refer to the appropriate Recovery procedure in this article.
Remove the A/C compressor belt. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Belt .
Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Remove the bolt and position the A/C line aside.
Torque

: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

Remove the nuts and position the A/C lines aside.
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.

  : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

Remove the bolts and A/C compressor shield.
Torque

: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
