Power Transfer Unit Input Shaft Seal - LHD: Removal

- Remove the PTU/transfer case. Refer to: Power Transfer Unit .
- Install the special tool on the PTU and install the PTU on a bench. Use Special Service Tool: 307-003 (T57L-500-B) Holding Fixture, Transmission.
- Install the step plate on the input shaft. Select a step plate size that does not contact the splines in the input shaft. Using a 3 jaw puller remove and discard the outer seal deflector. Use the General Equipment: Three Leg Puller
- Remove and discard the inner seal deflector. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
- Remove and discard the LH input shaft seal. Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver
