Power Transfer Unit Input Shaft Seal - LHD: Installation

- Clean the LH input shaft seal sealing surfaces.

NOTE: Make sure a new component is installed.
Install the LH input shaft seal.

NOTE: A piece of exhaust tube 3 inch O.D. x 3.5 inches long may be used as a suitable driver.
Using a suitable driver and a wooden block, seat the LH input shaft seal with a dead blow hammer. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block

NOTE: The seal deflector is correctly installed when an audible click is heard.
Using the special tool and a wooden block, install the inner seal deflector with a dead blow hammer. Use Special Service Tool: 205-510 Receiving Cup, Axle Bushing. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block

NOTE: The seal deflector is correctly installed when an audible click is heard.
Using the special tool and a wooden block, install the outer seal deflector with a dead blow hammer. Use Special Service Tool: 205-510 Receiving Cup, Axle Bushing. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block
- Install the PTU/transfer case. Refer to: Power Transfer Unit .
