Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) Sensor: Installation

Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil, install the FRP sensor and the electrical connector.

NOTE: During repair procedure, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning or removing components that enters the fuel supply passages may cause engine failure.

Install the Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor and tighten in the following 5 stages:

Material

: Motorcraft® SAE 5W-20 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W20-QSP (WSS-M2C945-A)
- Torque
  :Stage 1: 53 lb.in (6 Nm) Stage 2: 5° Stage 3: Loosen: 90° Stage 4: 53 lb.in (6 Nm) Stage 5: 21°
Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
