Removal And Installation: Thermostat: Removal

- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .

NOTE: Be prepared to capture escaping fluid.
Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses from the thermostat housing. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Remove the bolts and the thermostat housing.
Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
