Coolant Pump: Removal

Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
NOTE: If equipped.

Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

Release the tabs and position the degas bottle aside.

1. Unclip the A/C line from the support bracket.
2. Remove the A/C support bracket.

Remove the engine mount bolts.

Using a floor jack and wooden block, support and raise the engine. Use the General Equipment: Trolley Jack. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block

Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts. Loosen: 2 turn(s)

NOTE: Position the accessory drive belt so no coolant will drip on the belt, or the belt may be contaminated.
1. Using a suitable tool retract the accessory drive belt tensioner.
2. Position aside the accessory drive belt.
3. Release the accessory drive belt tensioner.

Remove the bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
