Steering Angle Sensor Module (SASM): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the clockspring. Refer to: Clockspring .
  2. Remove the LH steering column multifunction switch. Refer to: Steering Column Multifunction Switch LH  .
  3. Remove the RH steering column multifunction switch. Refer to: Steering Column Multifunction Switch RH  .
  4. Disconnect the SASM electrical connector and remove the 2 SASM upper screws.

    Torque

    : 25 lb.in (2.8 Nm)

  5. Remove the 2 SASM lower screws, detach the wiring harness pin-type retainer and remove the SASM.

    Torque

    : 12 lb.in (1.4 Nm)
