Rear Wheel Speed Sensor: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

NOTE: When servicing the wheel speed sensor, make sure the area around the wheel speed sensor and the wheel speed sensor housing are clean and free of debris or contamination may occur causing damage to wheel speed sensor or wheel bearing.
Using compressed air, clean the sensor housing area.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt and the rear wheel speed sensor.
Torque
: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)
- Remove the O-ring seal.

NOTE: Make sure that the sensor housing and O-ring groove are clean and free of foreign material before installing the wheel speed sensor or contamination may occur causing damage to wheel speed sensor or wheel bearing.
