Rear Wheel Speed Sensor - RS: Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
  2. NOTE: When servicing the wheel speed sensor, make sure the area around the wheel speed sensor and the wheel speed sensor housing are clean and free of debris or contamination may occur causing damage to wheel speed sensor or wheel bearing.

    Using compressed air, clean the sensor housing area.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  4. Remove the bolt and the rear wheel speed sensor.

    Torque

    : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

  5. NOTE: Make sure that the sensor housing is clean and free of foreign material before installing the wheel speed sensor or contamination may occur causing damage to wheel speed sensor or wheel bearing.
