Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The ABS module and the SASM require complete vehicle configuration information to operate correctly. Both modules receive the vehicle configuration information from the BCM. The BCM is programmed with the vehicle configuration information and shares this information with other modules over the HS-CAN. When a new ABS module or SASM is installed and the ignition is set to ON, the vehicle configuration information is sent to the module from the BCM over the HS-CAN.

Swapping modules between vehicles, an internal failure of one or more modules, incomplete or improper BCM flash programming procedures, a loss of communication between the BCM and ABS module or the BCM and the SASM causes a mismatch of vehicle configuration information between the modules.

U0300:00	Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility: No Sub Type Information	This DTC sets when the vehicle configuration information transmitted by the BCM does not match what is stored in the ABS module or the SASM.
