Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
    1. Disconnect the EVAP purge valve routing clips and disconnect the 2 EVAP purge valve quick connect couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
    2. Disconnect the 2 quick connect couplings and remove the tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

    1. Disconnect the EVAP purge valve electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the EVAP purge valve quick connect coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
    3. Detach the EVAP purge valve from the bracket and remove.
