Evaporative Emission Blocking Valve: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Vehicles with AWD, remove the rear axle assembly. Refer to: Axle Assembly .
    1. Disconnect the EVAP blocking valve electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the EVAP canister quick connect couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
    3. Detach the pin type retainer from the bracket and remove the EVAP blocking valve.
