Seatbelt Retractor and Pretensioner: Installation

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

NOTE: The spacer is part of the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.

Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster spacer from the D-ring of the safety belt retractor and pretensioner being removed and install it onto the new one.

NOTE: During installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Repower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Repowering .
Check the active restraint system for correct operation. Refer to: Seatbelt Systems .
