Transmission Fluid Cooler: Installation

- Install the transmission fluid cooler.
- Install the transmission fluid cooler and bracket.
- Raise the cooling module and install the cooling module support bracket bolts.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Verify the foam insulation is in place. Install new foam insulation if necessary.
- Inspect the transmission fluid cooler tube seals and backing rings. If necessary, install new seals and backing rings. Lubricate the seals and backing rings.
Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tube-to-transmission fluid cooler bolts.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tube bracket bolt.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Install the active grille shutters. Refer to: Active Grille Shutter .
- Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
