Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes: Installation

- Inspect the transmission fluid cooler tube seals and backing rings. If necessary, install new seals and backing rings. Lubricate the seals and backing rings.
Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes and the bolts.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Connect the LH front height sensor electrical connector and the wiring harness pushpins.
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tube bracket bolt.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tube bracket bolt.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Inspect the transmission fluid cooler outlet tube seal and backing ring. If necessary, install a new seal and backing ring. Lubricate the seal and backing ring. Install the transmission fluid cooler outlet tube and the bolt.

Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Inspect the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube seal and backing ring. If necessary, install a new seal and backing ring. Lubricate the seal and backing ring. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet tube and the bolt.
Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Tighten the transmission fluid tube-to-bypass valve fittings.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Install the active grille shutters. Refer to: Active Grille Shutter .
- Install the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
- Check and adjust the transmission fluid level as necessary. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
