Inner Constant Velocity (CV) Joint Boot: Removal

  1. Remove the front halfshaft. REFER to: Front Halfshaft LH . REFER to: Front Halfshaft RH .
  2. Remove and discard the CV boot clamps. Remove the inner CV joint housing.

  3. Clean as much old grease as possible from the CV joint surfaces.

    1. Remove and discard the CV tripod circlip.
    2. Using a puller, remove the CV tripod. Use the General Equipment: Puller Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator
    3. Remove the inner CV joint boot.
