Fuel Filler Door Assembly: Removal

- Open the fuel filler door.
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe. Refer to: Fuel Tank Filler Pipe 2.3L EcoBoost (201kW/273PS) . Refer to: Fuel Tank Filler Pipe 2.0L EcoBoost (177kW/240PS) - MI4 .
- Unseat the fuel filler door assembly boot from inside the wheel opening.

NOTE: Clearance is limited. When all four clips release you can rotate the housing out of the vehicle.
Using a screwdriver punch the 4 holes indicated area. Insert the screwdriver and release the clips while pulling the housing away from the vehicle.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Using a screwdriver, press the tab to release the fuel filler door spring from the fuel filler door assembly.
